It’s that time of year. Prairie crocuses are a sure sign of spring for us and look what is out. 🎉
We’ve heard reports of these fuzzy purple wildflowers in both northwest and southwest Calgary this week. Crocuses are a harbinger of spring for many people and offer a sigh of relief that winter is (almost) over. The ones above were spotted at Bowmont Park on March 25.
From rollerbladers on the river pathways (which Cailynn spotted last week) to bears waking up from hibernation, to that first robin spotting, no matter where you live, you’ve probably got go-to annual signs the seasons are changing.
We love this time of year. Yes, we adore winter, but spring and summer are pretty great too. It’s starting to feel like spring in the city, but the mountains remain covered in snow and the downhill skiing conditions are amazing. ( Or, at least they were, for Annalise at Lake Louise on Tuesday.)
A spring morning ski followed by an afternoon bike and patio is a truly dreamy day for us. So cheers to the seasons starting to change and another season of adventures beginning.
